Style of Therapy

My approach to therapy involves warmth, honesty, insight, compassion, and humor. My philosophy is grounded in the core humanistic principles of genuineness, empathy, and respect. I create a safe space for you to explore your own obstacles and solutions which can bring awareness, understanding, and self-directed growth. I place a great value on the relationship between the client and therapist. The most productive work in therapy happens when an individual feels a sense of comfort, acceptance, and understanding and I strive to achieve that with every individual I work with.

Using a holistic approach, my practice includes a combination of psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral therapies. I integrate adaptive behavioral therapy and rational emotive behavior therapy techniques and draw from other orientations when my client may benefit from a different approach.
